A first of it's kind for the Academy, Martin Cooper donated a video installation piece entitled, Zoë, 2005 that was auctioned live on October 20, 2005 at New York Academy of Art's gala event, hosted at Philips, de Pury. The 2:26 minute looped video work was created expressly for the event. The original sound-score was composed by Boston composer Martin Case (martincasemusic.com). Special thank you to the Academy, and in particular to Eileen Guggenheim and Hope Stevenson for making it possible.

The video is a prelude to Cooper's next body of work, The Pelvis. Cooper will explore why he feels the pelvis is the most fascinating and controversial bone in the human body. For inquires about this video piece or other works, please contact JHB Gallery 212.255.9286.
